How we compare hotel software
Hotel Software Compared covers the software a hotel runs on, from the property management system to the tools that track how travelers find hotels through AI assistants, and the numbers hoteliers use to steer the business. Every comparison says what was compared, on which criteria, and on which date prices were checked.

What we look at
- The published price, checked on the vendor's own pricing page, with the date of the check. Many hotel tools sell on quote, and we say so.
- The type of property the tool fits: independent hotel, small group, chain, vacation rental or campsite.
- Connections that matter in daily operations: channel manager, booking engine, payments, point of sale and door locks.
- How long it takes to get started, the languages of the interface and of support, and data hosting for European hotels.
- Commissions and fees that change the real cost, such as payment processing or per-booking charges.
What we do not do
- We do not publish star ratings, invented scores or guest reviews.
- We do not claim hands-on tests that were not run. Compared means compared on public information and vendor documentation.
- No vendor mentioned on this site paid to appear or to be ranked.
